About me
I love the experience and the challenge of painting outdoors when the weather permits (sometimes it’s just too hot!) and also working in the comfort of the studio. I began in watercolours, but later moved on to paint in water mixable oils, which are better for the environment and easier to transport around than traditional oil paints. I also sketch en plein air in watercolour and gouache.
I have written articles for the Leisure Painter magazine and have been a tutor on a number of painting holidays in the UK, Spain, and Portugal. I have taught adult painting classes, and I exhibit in solo and joint exhibitions. Since 2005 I have been teaching art online.
I am a Brand Ambassador for the Portable Painter palette, and I also have designed a number of painting easels and pochade boxes.
In 2025 I published a book - “En Plein Air - sketching and painting in the great outdoors” which is available on Amazon.
